So over the holidays I was super busy traveling and enjoying Christmas. I was on Minnesota visiting family and then down to Florida where I was able to run my first Marathon! Had a great time, although it was rather chilly. I also had the opportunity to start working on my Fresh Air fabric from Moda. I am in the middle of cutting a really cute quilt that i hope to post pictures of soon. I also acquired an awesome Old Primrose Fat Quarter Bundle!!! I am hoping to get started on that as well. As for my long arm machine, I have done some charity quilts for the local Humane Society along with a few more quilts for some friends and Clients. I hope that everyones Holiday was wonderful and you all kept warm. I am hoping to spend the rest of my winter months in my quilt room =)
Snowing Weather makes for Great Quilting December 7, 2009
SO it has been snowing here more then usual. I am originally from Minnesota and so snow is nothing new to me. Although, when moving here I was hoping to avoid some of it. I guess this year I am outta luck.
So, I am thinking that if it is snowing outside I might as well stay inside and quilt. I have been able to quilt some amazing quilts lately. I am posting a picture of a awesome flower quilt with a crazy pattern on it. I have also had the pleasure of doing a christmas quilt and a Music themed quilt. Happy Holidays all!

Amazing Quilt! November 17, 2009
hi, so I finished this quilt a little while ago and I just had to post about it. It is hawaiian theme applique quilt that was all HAND DONE. I can’t believe it. These hand quilting people are amazing. Anyways, I found a wonderful hawaiian swirl to put on it and used a blue variegated thread. Looks Cool. Let me know what you think.

Fall or Winter November 6, 2009
The weather has been kind of crazy around here lately. Snow last week, at least a foot. Then the crazy part is this week it has been at least 75. I have a good friend who just went to Hawaii and we just finished an amazing quilt of hers to go along with it. I want to be in hawaii….
Also, I am going to start to try and add some tips to my blog. So those of you who are also quilters, please feel free to add any that you might have. Piecing quilts is the most challenging part for me. So I am always on the lookout for fool proof ways to do all kinds of stuff. When I find it, I will post it and I hope you do the same.
Happy Quilting, Jen
Do we have any New Moon fans out there?

Growing October 22, 2009
well today I really feel like doing nothing but quilting. Which would be normal except I have tons of other things I gotta do. 1 being my sons homeschool preschool class is gonna be here in like 10 minutes and I have no idea what i am gonna teach today. Plus, I just had to wake up my son who is currently still in his jammies and hasn’t had breakfast yet….. this should be interesting.
So I am getting kind of obsessed with the song by U2, city of blinding lights. It came out a while ago but I just got around to buying it on Itunes and could listen to it on repeat all day probably….. I won’t, but I could. I will though be listening to it this afternoon while sewing away.
My arcadia quilt is coming along, but I wish it was coming along quicker. I have another amazing quilt sent to me by an amazing quilter who lives in Canada and I can’t wait to get started on it. Her quilts are always so beautiful and sewn so perfectly that quilting them is truly a joy. I am going to do a flower continuous line pattern that I haven’t used before! I am really anxious to get started. Plus…. I just bought another cute quilting book and really want to try a pattern out of it.
I will keep you posted.
Listen to the City of Blinding lights and feel inspirational =)

ARCADIA FABRIC RULES! October 19, 2009
Hi, so I am working with some new Fabric I have had my eye on for a LONG TIME. I am going to post pics and show you what I have in mind. I am hoping to make some new wall hanging for my Living Room! Should be interesting. Also, a friend of mind has a quilt on the machine and it literally looks like the cool blue ocean and too bad you can’t swim in it!
Anyone heard the song by the black eyed peas, I gotta feelin? Good tunes right =)
Long Time No Post! October 5, 2009
So I have been real busy lately and although I have been quilting away I haven’t had too much time to update. Well no more! Here are some more pics of my latest and greatest quilts. Also, I have finished my gobble gobble and figgy pudding Jelly rolls. I am really happy with them both and hope to quilt this weekend! In these pics are two quilts, one is a gobble gobble that I did a leave pattern on. I think it turned out quite nicely, the other is a christmas wall hanging.
happy quilting all!!!

Hot Pink/Black September 23, 2009
Hi, this is a quilt i finished a couple of days ago that turned out real well! I quilted it with black thread so the quilting would stand out on the hot pink fabric! The border on the front side is black, so i flipped the edge so you can see the design.
I am currently quilting my Sisters Gobble Gobble Jelly roll with a cute leaf pattern! Gotta get it done, so I can do mine as well.
Happy Quilting all,
Jen
